This is my beauty favorites for the month of JUNE.
Nail LOVES
- Mint Nail Polish---This is my go to polish when I just color on my nails and no design I will paint them a mint. I have all my mint polishes on my vanity sitting out from the rest of my collection. Also if I am trying out a new brand, I will more than likely pick a mint out, especially in the spring and summer time.
- Jelly Sandwiches--- In Rue's Awards---June Nail Looks (http://ruesbeautyworld.blogspot.com/2013/07/rues-awards-june-nail-looks.html) two of the three were jelly sandwiches. Jelly Sandwiches, I had a hard time getting the hang of, and it took me several trials to get it down. When I finally had success I absolutely loved the effected. I am planning on going a Rue's Tips for Jelly Sandwiches in the future.
- Quick Dry Drops\Spray--- I don't know why it took me so long to buy these. I hadn't messed up a manicure in forever and it's all because of these. WONDERFUL INVENTION. I recently brought the spray, and I am planning on doing a VERSUS.
- Nail Polish Remover that's in a sponge--- This works wonders with glitter polish. I have a post coming up about cleaning it and reusing the sponge and container.
Makeup LOVES
- Wet n Wild Coverall Concealer in Light
- Wet n Wild Heathersilk Blush
- Wet n Wild Coverall Pressed Powder in Light\Medium (This has become my Holy Grail. Replacing my Cover Girl clean pressed powder)
- Wet n Wild Fergie Gel liner
- Wet n Wild nutty eye shadow
- Jordana lip liner in red
- Maybelline Whisper in Who wore it Redder?
Hair LOVES
- Psst. Dry Shampoo--- I use to think Dry Shampoo was a waste of money. One day while browsing at Walgreens, I went to their travel size section, and I noticed they had a travel size of the PSST dry shampoo. Normally when I try a new hair product, I will buy the travel size first, and then if I like it repurchase it. I am not big on wasting my money on normal size if I am not going to like it. Dry Shampoo is expensive also. Now back to Walgreens, I noticed they had a travel size dry shampoo, I don't even remember the price, but it ended up coming home with me. The first time I used it, I fell in love with it. When I straighten my hair, I like to keep it straight for several days. I typically do not wash my hair but three times a week, but when i straighten it, it's normally two. When I do straighten it, I love the way it looks, but it normally get oilier. When I used the dry shampoo, I could have went past the five day mark with my hair straight. I didn't because my scalp started to itch, but I could have. I couldn't do this during the summer, but in the cooler months, I can. I now own a full size, but they only reason is because when I went back to Walgreens, I was just going to purchase a travel size again, because I rarely straighten my hair and a travel size will last me for 3 to 6 months. Walgreens had a sale on it for half off so the full size was cheaper than the travel size. I picked up the full size.
- Ribbon hair ties.--- I wear my hair up a lot, and it gets damaged. On YouTube, I had heard about the ribbon hair ties for months, but they where from Brady Melville, and I do not have one around here. Plus they were way too expensive to buy. I found some about two months ago at Family Dollar from the mix & co. 5 for a 1.50. I picked up three packs, and haven't wore any other hair tie since.
I will post a random favorites for June hopefully sometime next week. I am planning a Rue's Award for summer time favorites including sunscreen.
