About Rue.

Hello, I am Jamie aka Rue. I am a 25 year old College graduate who this past year decided to go back to college and get another degree. I love Nail Polish. I have always been the one that my friends and family go to if they needed polish. I had a small polish collection for the longest time, but since  August of 2011 I have been adding more and more to my collection. Currently I own over 300 polishes, and getting close to 400 with each polish purchased.

Why I started this blog?
The summer after I graduated college and unemployed, I started watching YouTube videos about makeup. Gurus I think are what they are called. I got interest in makeup, and so I decided to blog my journey through the makeup world. After I wasn't really doing my makeup as often, I decided to change it up. I decided to document my nail polish collection and my nail looks.

Where did Rue come from?
It was a nickname that was given to me in the eighth grade from a friend. It combines my middle name and last name.

If you are here at Rue's World for the first time, you need to know I am always looking for a bargain, and I hardly ever buy high end things at full price. All of the high end polishes I have, I have only paid full price on one polish. Same as my makeup. I am using buying drugstore. I have started buying at Ulta, but since I just moved, I am about 15 minutes away from one. Also I buy a lot of my makeup from Big Lots. They don't have a lot of nail polishes that I have wanted. Most of their polishes I already own, or do not like the brand.

Also since I am just starting out, I am taking pics with my little Kodak 9.2 megapixel camera, which doesn't take that great of pics. When I don't have it with me or the batteries are dead I take pics with my phone which is even worse. I am working on saving for a better camera, where I can get better picture quality. Please do not comment on the poor quality of pics. I know that they are. Working on it, promise.
