NOTD--Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Right Said Red and China Glaze Ruby Pump (Mini Review)

Here is a look I did a couple of days ago using Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Right Said Red and China Glaze Ruby Pumps.

The original plan for this look was to use Ruby Pumps as an accent nail, but when I applied the Sally Hansen it was thin. I put three coats on and I could still see the outline of my nail. I really hope that this is just for this color, or I will not be buying anymore. I have several of these because I found them in a Christmas gift set on sale so I went ahead and bought them. I was not impressed with Right Said Red. I am in love with Ruby Pumps though. I will do an entire manicure using just this because I do not think that it will need an under polish to show up like most.

No Repeat Challenge.

I will not be repeating polishes until I have used all the nail polish I have in my collection. Two exceptions to this rule is for accent nails, just because I do not own that much glitter and things to do accent nails with. I do have glitters that I have not used in a while. Also if I use a color for an accent nail, I can use it to do my whole nails with not an accent nail. I will have a tab that will list my collection and everytime I use a color I will mark it out.

Also my top and base coats do not count with this because I do not have that many, and I have used all of them all at one point in time.

--Rue.

New Look--Kind of.

As you may have noticed in the past few days I have added tabs to my blog. Currently I have three tabs, but I am working on a fourth and a fifth. The three tabs I have now will take you to the homepage, my collection list, and my wanted list. The fourth and fifth that I am working on are my no repeat challenge (which should be up today), and an about me challenge. I am thinking about putting a tab up for when I find sales on polish, but when I find sales I normally find them when they are going off. So I do not know if I will be doing that tab or not.

Random-- Friday, I found philosophy make up for 3 dollars a piece at Big Lots. They had eyeshadows, blushes, lip glosses, lip sticks, and face powder. They did not have any of the bath stuff that I saw, but I will be going back and getting more.

NLOD--Sinful Colors Why Not and Sally Hansen Ice Queen

This is the look that I currently have on my nails right now. It's from Sinful Colors called Why Not with Sally Hansen's Ice Queen on my accent nail.
I put two coats of the Sinful Colors on my nails and the one coat of the Sally Hansen which is a glitter polish with silver glitter and purple and blue hexagon glitter (which is very few and far between). Then I topped it with my Wet n Wild Wild Shine top coat. I ended up putting Seche Vite on the next day over the accent nail cause I really do not like have a texture feeling on my nails, so the Seche Vite smoothed it out. I have had this polish on for two days now and there has been no chipping. I am probably going to change it either tonight or tomorrow night just because I want to try another color.

Haul.

So I have bought some more polishes and added them to my collection. First I went to Sally's and bought another China Glaze, which I got for free, (explaination later) and a couple Sally Girl Polishes. Then I went to Ulta for the first time. I was so excited.

Here is what I got at Sally's

Sorry for the poor picture quality still trying to figure out new camera settings. I got at Sally's China Glazes For Audrey. I got it basically for free because I had a 5 dollar off coupon from Sally's and with my Beauty Club membership China Glaze is 4.99. I also got two Sally girl polishes, which I only like for glitter. It's the only time I have found that I like them. I got a rose gold glitter, which you really can't tell from the pic, and then I got a purple and blue glitter. I am ok with buying mini polishes like these in glitter because I really only wear glitter polishes on my accent nail when I have one.

I went to Ulta. The reason I have never been to Ulta before is because there isn't one in my town, but I just found out that there is on in the town next to me, but it's about 30 to 45 minutes away from me. I love Ulta, and I will be going back. Maybe next time I will save up and get a Butter London polish. I know that I do not like to spend a lot on one bottle of polish, but I have heard so much about them, and would really like to try them. I am going to do some research on swatches and see which ONE I will buy. Any way, I bought the mini set of China Glaze from the Hunger Game Collection. I really want to find Smoke and Ashes, and that was really the only color I wanted from the collection, but I went to three Sally's and none of them had them. So I looked at Ulta and couldn't find it anyway, and as I was about to walk out without buying anything, I saw this collection. It was 13.95, but I got four polishes from the collection, which I thought was a good deal. I really don't need a full size bottle any ways, and the China Glaze bottles are bigger than most minis. It's about half the size of the regular bottle. (I will do a Versus comparing the bottles). The four colors that were included are Fast Track, the polish that represents District 6, Argo, represents  District 11, Smoke and Ashes (the whole reason I bought this), which is for District 12, Luxe and Lush, which is for District 1. (I am planning on doing a whole blog entry on this collection with swatches). The two other polishes I got was is two essence polishes, which I can only find at Ulta.  I got a hot pink and a greenish blue with shimmer polish. I don't know the names right off the top of my head, but these polishes are mini polishes, but they are the same price as the Sally Girl polishes. I have not used these polishes yet, but I will let you know what I think about them. I have heard some good things about essence polishes.

NLOD-- China Glaze Secret Per-Wink-le, with China Glaze First Mate and Finger Paints Art You Wondering?

I began to use the new polish I hauled yesterday. So since CG Secret Per-Wink-Le was my first periwinkle color, I decided to paint it with them. I decided that I wanted to do a more dramatic accent nail this time, so I used CG First Mate which is a darker blue. It looked really good beside the periwinkle, and on the display at Sally's it was located right beside it. I then put Finger Paints Art you wondering? a glitter polish on top, which was a mistake. I really did not like the look together with the periwinkle. When I paint my nails with First Mate it will be a great accent nail, but not with the periwinkle. So I took it off today, and now I just have the Per-Wink-Le on.

I put two coats of the Per-Wink-Le on each nail except for the ring finger. On the accent nail, I started out with Sally Hansen Complete Manicure Clear coat as a base coat. The only reason I used this one is because the base coat I have isn't very good and clips right away. I normally don't use a base coat, but the last time I used a Finger Paint polish, my nails where blue for weeks. Then I added one coat of the First Mate. Then a coat of the Art you Wondering?. I topped all the nails with my Wet n Wild Wild Shine Top Coat.

What's in my purse? TAG

I have been wanting to do this one for a long time. It's picture loaded. My family calls my purse my suitcase cause I keep a lot of stuff in my purse. I got this purse at Maurices and it's a messenger bag.

As you can see I keep my keys on the outside of my purse. I have two sets my car\house keys and my work keys. Also I have a thing of germ x on my purse.

In the two outside pockets, the one on the left I keep a body spray, sunscreen, and hand creme. Then in the right pocket I keep my ipod and my phone which is in the Hello Kitty pouch. (picture below)

(picture below) Here is my inside packed full. You can see my wallet which was in my April Favorites. It's crammed full of stuff, but it's organized with different little bags

Picture blow is everything out of my purse. I have a notebook, my padfolio, the Hello Kitty bags (the one with Hello Kitty on it has change in it, the pink Hello Kitty bag (I will go over contents below), pink thing above my warm vanilla sugar is my sunglass, the white case with Hello Kitty has earrings in it. The purple and Black bag has pens and penciles in it. The pink Claire's bag (I will go over the contents below).
Picture Blow  The pink Claire's bag has my planners, check books, extra registers and paper, post it notes.

The pink Hello Kitty bag has more hygiene  products. Lotion, first aid kit, mascara, eyeliner, toothpaste and travel brush, eye drops, pain and allergy meds, nail clippers and files, kleenxes, gum, cough drops, mirror, thumb drive, spare car door key.
Yes, I am in love with Hello Kitty.

That's what's in my purse. Sorry the pictures are poor quality

Versus: Peach (CG Peachy Keen, Maybelline Peach Petal, Pure Ice Twinkle)

This is a new series called Versus. I will be taking colors I have that are similar to each other and swatching them to show the difference and similarities.

The first entry of Versus is for the Peaches. Since I just bought Peachy Keen, I decided that I would do peaches first.

I have two other peach colors Maybelline Peach Petal and Pure Ice Twinkle.

On the nail the first nail is Maybelline Peach Petal, middle nail is Peachy Keen, and the last is Pure Ice Twinkle. They look really orange on the picture, but they are all more peach than orange. I really like Peachy Keen the best, but I also really like Twinkle. Twinkle and Peach Petal are very similar. Twinkle has glitter in it and Peach Petal does not.

I will try and do these at least once a week. Hope you like it.

Updated Collection as of April 26th.

WARNING-- this is going to be a long blog post.

First of all you may ask the question about the title. Your posting this on May 1st and title says April 26th. Here is the reason. The pictures were taken on the 26th and I have since bought new finger nail polish. The only reason that I am right now posting an updated collection is my storage has changed since I last posted on back on December 27, 2011.

Before I post pictures, here is how the collection has changed. First it has almost doubled in size since December. I not longer organize by the color, but I organize by brand. In each of the little baskets, I organize the bottles to where I can get the most in there as possible. I am still using the trays, but I am no longer storaging them in my bathroom. They are in a tower of plastic drawers, which will be pictured below. In the top half I have my make up and my supplies, and in the three bigger drawers are all my nail polishes. Most of the polishes will not fit in the small drawers so I don't know what I will do when I get to the point that I can't fit anymore in there. Right now I can move my Color Quicks and my minis to the small drawers, which I am going to have to do later today since I had a huge haul last night. (post up sometime in the near future.

So here is my updated collection...

This is the tower I was talking about. The first two smaller drawer at the top have all my make up in it. The next two smaller drawers have manicure and pedicure things in them, and they are not full. I could probably combine the two. The bigger three drawers have all my polish in it. (I am not sure how much I have at the moment in time, but I am working on swatching my entire collection, and I am going to type up all my polishes in a document where I can give a list to my cousin so when she is getting me a gift she will know what I have and don't. Also I have been trying to type them up for a while, but have not finished.)
