Butter London at TJ Maxx.

TJ Maxx has Butter London for 6.99. I saw three shades. I picked up No More Waity Katie. I am unsure what the other shades were. I do know that there were only a few left at my TJ Maxx. I thought I would pass this deal to you all.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Strips First Impressions

If you saw my after Christmas Haul, you saw that I purchased a holiday kit that included Sally Hansen Salon Effects Strips. I decided to try them, and review them for you.
http://ruesworld52.blogspot.com/2013/12/after-christmas-sales-haul-2013.html

The package claims it will last up to 10 days, no dry time, and it's easy to use. It also contains NO DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde. I decided to put these on the day before I went to work to see how they held up. I have before had polishes that claimed to be long wearing and chip the same time when at work since my hands are in a lot of cleaning chemicals and water while I am at work.

sorry for such a crappy photo.

This is 450 Brattlesnake. IT's a snake print, and it has some tans, dark browns, golds, and yellows in it. I personally am not a fan of this one at first, but like I said it come in a holiday kit, and you did not really get a chose.

I found it hard to apply at first. I started like I always do with my left hand, since I am right handed. After the first couple of nails, I did get the hang of putting these on. Like the old saying "practice makes perfect" really does apply to these. I still haven't perfected putting these, but I do have a couple of tips for you all

TIPS FOR PUTTING THESE ON:
1. Follow the instructions that come with it. Do not skip any of the steps.
2. Size them to your nails before starting putting them on.
3. Also you may have to trim them to fit your nails.
4. Once you have placed them on your nails, trim the with a pair of nail clippers or scissors.

I know that I will probably never buy these at FULL price, for they are 8 bucks for one manicure. I can spend that on a polish of OPI and get multiple manicures out of it. I could only get one use out of these. I have heard that some people can get all of their nails finished with one pack, you get two packs of 8, but I could not get two uses out of it for I have long nail beds.

The package claims to last up to 10 days. I did wear these for 10 days, but you will have to come back to see how it lasted. I am going to break it up into a couple of blogs.

Come back to read the review. Did my impressions change?

Rue's Road Trip Essentials

Spring Break is on upon us, and some of you all may be road tripping while your on spring break. I know that I recently for my birthday went on a weekend getaway, and we had to drive over 2 hours, so I thought I would share with you all what I make sure to have with me on a road trip.

1. Comfortable clothes--- When I am road tripping, I am usually in pajama bottoms or sweat pants. I get comfortable.
2. Pillow--- If I am not driving, I typically fall asleep, something about riding relaxes me and I fall asleep.
3. MUSIC--- I have to have some good tunes.
4. Headphones--- for when I am not driving. I typically like to listen to audio books as well, but my family doesn't always like the book I am listening too, so I bring headphones to listen to them.
5. Cell Phone charger--- my phone always dies when I am on a road trip.
6. Snacks--- I always get the munchies when I am traveling. I love to bring cheese crackers and dried fruit.
7. Sunglasses--- for when the sun is glaring down on you.
8. Water--- I always bring a bottle of water with me. I typically get a liter size, so it will last me a while.

I typically bring a lot more, but I make sure I always have these with me.

Hope everyone has a safe and great spring break. I am spending mine doing some spring cleaning and blogging.

Peaceful and Happy Thoughts,
