I have been researching dupes for high end nail polishes that I want, but do not want to spend that much money on. I am thinking about starting a Dupe series. The only hesitation is I will not have the high end polish to go off of and I am taking several other bloggers opinions. I do own some dupes already, and if I own both high end and other polish, I will do a VERSUS blog. I am do some possible dupes blogs, but say I do not own the high end polish.
We all know how I love to save money on polish. Why would I spend 12 dollars on a bottle of polish when I can find one like it for 4 and buy two more polishes. Plus I only wear my polish for two days anyways unless I am planning a review for you all.

Rue's Tips--Shopping at Walgreens
I was looking at my old posts last night, and I noticed I had done a post back in October called Rue's Tips. I said it may be a possible series, so here is another post of Rue's Tips.
Rue's Tips for shopping at WALGREENS:
Tip 1- if you are buying cosmetics , check out at cosmetics They have a bunch of coupons at their register that they can possibly save you some money. Check out there especially if there is a sticker beside the product that says coupon if check out at the cosmetics register. I know it is not always possible to check out there because a sales associate isn't always available, but if someone comes up to you and asks you to come over there and check out, they probably know if there is coupons there.
Once I was buying Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish, which was already on sale for around 2 dollars, and the sales associate told me if I come to the cosmetics register she thought she had a coupon for them. The coupon was 2 dollars off of 2 bottles. I bought two bottles which I ended up only paying 2 dollars for each. She also told me if I wasn't happy with the colors to bring them back. So you can bring at least Nail Polish back.
Tip 2-- GET THERE REWARDS CARD!!! I use this card almost as I use my grocery store rewards card. They have great deals with it, and I find that I get more reward points from this card than any other rewards card out there. Plus if you can catch them Walgreens have really good sales. Yes, there cosmetics can be priced a little high, but a lot of times there are sales in them.
Tip 3-- Go to the store and browse. Sometimes Walgreens have sales that are not posted in their weekly ad. They also have clearance items. If you are shopping for nail polishes, I find that they have a lot of clearance polishes when the seasons change. They have to make room for the new inventory for the new season. I haven't been to walgreens here recently, but I bet since its summer they may have a few on clearance now. I heard that some have Sally Hansen Insta-Dri on clearance.
I am planning a Walgreens trip here in the next few days, and if there are any good sales that are not in the weekly ad I will let you know. The Walgreens haul I just posted isn't from recent. I haven't been there since the beginning of June and I didn't buy any polishes. I will keep you posted.

Walgreens Haul (from October 12 to June 13)
The last haul I posted was back in October when I went silent for months because I had no internet access. I was going to post this all in one HUGE haul, but then I realized I could separate into smaller hauls. Also I hadn't realized how much polish I had collection since October. This is 8 months worth of shopping. The majority of the polish I found was on clearance or less than $2.
Recently, I have been putting together a spread sheet of my polishes that include where I have bought them, and I realized that I have bought the majority of my nail polishes from Walgreens, but I very rarely pay full price for a polish at Walgreens. If I am going to be spending full price I got to Wal-mart. Most of the polishes I am about to haul where on clearance or Walgreens had an incentive or sale going on with it.

Rue's Nail Polish Collection---Sinful Colors Edition (June 2013)
This is going to be the last collection blog that is by brand... Sinful Colors is one of my favorite nail polishes. I love the price and it has a great variety of colors. IT's the same price as Wet n Wild polishes, but it can sometimes be found on sale. (see yesterday's post about sale at Walgreens) With Sinful Colors, Sally Hansen, and Wet n Wild, they make up about a third of my collection. I mainly buy all my SC polishes at Walgreens, but they can now be found at Wal-mart which may carry them for a few CENTS cheaper, but I very rarely buy nail polishes at Wal-mart. If you have any questions of where I bought these or if you want a particular polished swatched, please feel free to comment below. Lastly, I am very proud of my nail polish collection and I am no way bragging of what I have. I consider myself very lucky to have this many polishes. If you look from my older collection posted you will see how much it has grown since I started this blog almost 2 years ago.

Personal Points
- Working hard on keeping this blog up.
- Been taking pictures like crazy.
- Really needs to get my room straighted up and things up on my wall. When I get it down should I do a Room Tour Blog? It would be unique. I have never seen anyone do a blog post for a room tour.
- I'm defintely going to be doing an updated Nail Polish and Makeup Collection Storage, but it requires me to get my room straightened up first.
- I think I'm going to go get some Chinese food.
Coming Soon
- Updated Collection (both makeup and nail polish)
- Mascara review
- Essie top coat review.
- HUGE COLLECTIVE HAUL!!!

Sinful Colors On Sale At Walgreens. THIS WEEK ONLY!!!!
Sinful Colors is on sale at Walgreens for 2 for 3 dollars. They are normally 1.99 each. Also if you have the Walgreens rewards card you get 1000 points which is a dollar off future purchases so it techically like getting Sinful Colors for 2 for 2.
If you don't have the Walgreens reward card I highly suggest getting on. Besides my grocery store card, it's my most used card.

You all know...
I have tried in the past to post on a schedule. Well, once again I am going to try and post on a schedule. I am planning on posting on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If I do a YouTube, I am planning on posting at first once a week (still unsure about if I am going to start doing YT)
I am planning on Monday and Wednesday it being blog about anything. Hauls, Collections, tips, tutorials, reviews, or just randoms. On Fridays, I will do my week nail looks. This has been the case for a while, especially when I was blogging regularly.
I am planning on doing a updated nail and makeup collection blog, but I am going to do it differently this time. Nails, I am going to break it up by brands. My collection has went over 300 polishes, it would be an extremely long post. With the makeup, I am going to break it up into tools, and then what I use in different areas (lips, face, and eyes).
Peaceful and Happy Thoughts,
Rue.

Thinking about YouTube!
As many of you know my interest in makeup and nail polish started with watching Beauty Videos on YouTube. Well, I am still watching YouTube, and I learn a lot everyday. Let me first say, the videos would be for fun.
With that said, I am thinking starting making videos, especially with reviews and things like that. Why? First, with reviews, I find it easy to talk about items than write about them. I have always been that way. My college adviser told me that if I could do Oral Research papers, I would have aced everything. Second,it will give me a reason to do my makeup more often. I love makeup, and have a good little collection going on, but with me staying in the house for most of the week, I don't wear makeup very often. Another reason, I don't think there are many YouTubers out there that are like me. Here is what I mean by that. I am 24 years old from the south and I am NOT a skinny minnie, actually I am overweight, and lets be honest, more and more american's are overweight. I am working on losing weight (I am about 80 pounds away from my goal). Also if I am making videos, it will be a incentive to get my room FINALLY together. Yes, I still haven't gotten my room together since we moved.
Now.... What I'm afraid of?
My face being out there. On this blog, I do not have my face pictured at all. The only pictures of me is the one of my log in, and guess what, I pic and chose that one. Also I am more sheltered on my blog. With YouTube, I am out to the whole world. I do not have the best self-esteem, and from the YouTubers, I watch talk about some of the haters. Do I really want to put myself out there like that? Plus, I don't think I will have good quality videos because I cannot afford a fancy camera. My cousin has on that will take a little better video than my camera does, but right now, I don't even have a car. I know that you can make money from YouTube, but doesn't that take YEARS!
You all will be the first to know if and when I upload my first video. If I start making videos, I will NOT neglect this blog. The blog will always be my baby.
Peaceful and Happy Thought,
--Rue.
Rue's Nails of the Week
I'm back... Hopefully, I can keep doing a Nail look blog on every Friday.
Look 1: Jelly Sandwich.
Look 2: Minty Raspberries.
For some reason I love Raspberries and mint green together. I don't know why. This is the first time I have done them together in a look besides a water marble. I used Revlon Rich Raspberries and Rimmel Mintilicious. I ended up doing three coats of each. This is also the first time I did two accent nails.
I topped this with Essie's no chips ahead top coat. I will do a review on this after I have used it more than twice.
Look 1: Jelly Sandwich.
This was my first successful jelly sandwich (accent nail). I had tried and tried to do one, but they never turned out, but this one did. The blue nail polish is Color Club Chelsea Girl. I found this at Rite Aid on sale. Sad Note thought, after I painted my nails with this, the bottle broke. :( I have never had a bottle break on me, and I have moved my collection around several times, and I have dropped bottles before. I don't know what happened. I will have to find Chelsea Girl again. I did four coats of CG on all but my accent. ON my accent I did two coats of CG and then a coat of Wet n Wild megalast Mixing It All. This glitter is AMAZING. After the glitter I did a thin coat of CG.

Rue's Nails Spring 2013
Another Season Rue's Nails.... Then I will be caught up. As you can see I am loving using polish in the same color family, but using a lighter accent nail.
Look 1: Minty RefreshMINT
This look was achieved with using Wet n Wild Megalast I need a Refresh-Mint and the accent nail is China Glaze Refresh Mint. I love me some Mint nail polish. Mint Greens are becoming one of my favorite colors.
Look 2: Sinful Blues
I used all Sinful Colors polishes with this look. I used Why Not and an accent with Sugar Rush.
Look 3: Buttercup.
This is Revlon Buttercup. I heard on YouTube many great things about this polish, but I couldn't see spending 7 dollars on it, especially because it was a light yellow, and I find I typically do not yellow polishes on my nails. One day, I finally found it on sale, and bought it. I am glad I did. This has to be one of my favorites. It is worth the hype from YouTube. It took me three coats.
Look 4: Silky Coral
This is Cover Girl's coral silk. I was suckered in to buying two of the Cover Girl's new polishes. It as on sale at Walgreens. First of all to me the name is misleading. To me, it's more of a peach than a coral, but oh well. The Cover Girl polishes are ok, but for the price, I will pick other polishes before. Like I said they were on sale. You all know Rue likes her sales. This was also a rushed manicure.
Look 5: Yellow Kitty Cup
Yes, I used Revlon's Butter cup again. I painted all my nails with Buttercup, and then on all but my ring finger I topped it with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Yellow Kitty.
All of the polishes where two coats of polishes unless noted. I also used the Sally Hansen Growth Max Plus Top Coats.

Rue's Nails of Fall and Winter
This is the looks that I painted my nails. I painted them more, and I thought I had more pictures, but I cannot find them. Also for some odd reason my hands were drier than they have ever been this past Winter, so I didn't take pictures because my hands looked horrible.
Look 1: Black Platinum
This is Black Platinum from Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. I don't remember exactly how many coats it took to get this color, but I do remember it being 4 to 5 coats. It's a sheer polish. I would recommend putting a black base coat, and you wouldn't have to use as many coats. When I used the black base coat. I did two of the black, and use this as a top coat. I got the same effect. I loved this polish. I loved the color. Plus it was on sale at Walgreens when I got it. I think that I got it for less than 2 dollars.
I love flaky nail polish on dark nails. I especially love this Luxe and Lush from China Glaze. (It was from the Hunger Games Collection unsure you can get it.) I wish that I had gotten the full size. This looked started with Confetti Black Tie (2 coats). I then topped it with one coat of the Luxe and Lush. I loved this. One thing about the flaky nail polish is it can be difficult to work with sometimes, but it's like a chunky glitter.
I topped both of these looks off with my Sally Hansen Growth Max Plus Top Coat. See my manicure routine for how I got both these manicures. ( I am planning on doing an updated one soon)
