NLOD--Julep Anne Look.

This is a look using Julep Anne. I could have used only one coat, but I used two coats of the julep. I love the brush, and the formula is wonderful. Now I just have to look at staying power. I will review the staying power after this weekend's work. I topped it with the seche vite top coat.

Julep Maven!!!

I got my first Julep Maven box today. YAY!!! I got the first box for only a penny, and you get two polishes and they are normally 14 dollars a bottle. I have been wanting to try this but did not want to spend 14 dollars on it.
If you want to learn more about Julep Maven Program here is a link to check it out.
http://www.julep.com/mavens/stories

When you sign up for the box you have to take a style quiz to find out which box you get. (if you don't like what box you get you can change it). I got American Beauty.

This is what the box looks like when you open it.

How the products are packaged.

What I got:
Two nail polishes
      Maria (shimmering platinum rose)
      Anne (Tropical Violet creme)
Julep Glow on Age Defying Hand Brightener
sample of there hand creme with SPF 30.

I will get a review on what I think of it soon. I will use one of these polishes for my next nail look.

NLOD--Nirvana Sinful Colors Look

Here is what I currently got on my nails. It's Sinful Colors Nirvana. I bought this polish about two months ago and lost it. I was so excited when I bought this color, and then I couldn't find it. I found it in my car. YAY!

I used two coats of the sinful colors, gold glitter on the ring finger, and then Seche Vite Top Coat.

Here is what I used.

This look I used Finger Paints Winter Sky (you can get Finger Paints at Sally's Beauty Supply). Two coats of that. Then I used Sally's Girl Silver Glitter, and I topped it with the Seche Vite top coat. I will get a review of the Finger Paints up after this weekend. See how it holds up at work.

NLOD--Velvet Bow China Glaze.

I was unable to get a nail picture taken before I took it off. It's been a busy week. I painted my nails with China Glaze's Velvet bow. I love the color, but I am not so sure if I am really loving China Glaze as a brand. This time I used two coats of it, and it still only lasted about two days. Orly's lasts longer.

NLOD--Taupe Glittering Gold Nails.

I love these nails. I decided that since I had been doing bright colors for the last few times that I wanted to do something different. I had bought this Taupe from Forever 21 right before Christmas and did not get a chance to use it, and I am so glad that I bought it now. This was a color that I was thinking about putting back, but I am glad that I did not. I was only going to put the glitter on the ring finger, but I loved the look so much, I put it on all my nails. I did two coats of the Love and Beauty Taupe, then a coat of the Seche Vite, a coat of the gold glitter from Sally's, and then topped it off with another coat of the Seche Vite. This is the first time I am using the Forever 21 brand, so I will do a review on it soon.

Here is the polish I used.

NLOD--Orly Oui Nails.

This was suppose to be my BCS National Championship inspired nails, but after I painted them, I decided that they were not enough LSU themed. I did not repaint them though. Yes, I was cheering for LSU, who lost last night. I did take this off today because I wasn't the biggest fan of this on my nails. TOO MUCH GLITTER. When I first got this polish (which is a sample size), I wanted to find the full size, but now I am glad that I did not buy the full size. I had to use three coats for this look and then top coat with my Seche Vite.
Here is the polish I used.

NO MORE NEW POLISH

So I am working on saving for a trip for my birthday, so any extra money I have is going to that. I am not going to buy any polish until I get to go to that trip. If I get some for my birthday that is great, but I will not be buying any polish with my money for at least a month.

This is not just trying to save money, but I have polishes in my collection that I have not used yet. I have not used most of the polished in my Christmas Haul. Some of the colors I have bought here recently is getting ready for the Spring and Summer seasons, but the colors I have that are winter colors I will be wearing.

I hope that I can keep this up. I am going in a week to a city that has the closest Ulta to me, and I have never been there before, so I am going to try and not buy any polish while I am there. I used want to go and look for when I want to buy some.

China Glaze Review.

First I am going to review China Glaze. I loved the way that the China Glaze Polish went on my nails, and I loved the formula. I only used one coat with this nail color (I am not sure whether or not it was just the color that I picked or the formula. When I paint my nails with China Glaze again I will let you all know about that).

I painted my nails on Wednesday (see Glittering Garland China Glaze Nails). Then I took it off Saturday night because it was chipping really bad. I think it was chipping because of the one coat, so I am going to try it again with two coats at work. It did not last as long as the Orly's, but it still lasted more than my other polishes that I have.

I will go get some more China Glaze products.

Nail Polish I regret Buying--TAG

I really don't regret buying these, but these are polishes that I never use or really do not like after buying them.

NYC Long Wearing in Big Money Frost and Black Lace. These polishes are just too thin. The green has to have an undercoat, and the black has to have three or four coats. The L'oreal Grow Strong was a misunderstanding in what I was buying. I thought that it was a nude polish, but it is really a base coat, and is real thin. The last thing is Quick Dry top coat. It's takes forever to dry, and when it dries is seems sticky all the time.

I decided to do a simple nail look today. This was my first time using a China Glaze Polish(I will review it soon). This polish is called Glittering Garland. I believe it was a part of there winter collection. I found it at Sally's on clearance.
I only did one coat of the china glaze polish and I topped it with the seche vite top coat.

I hope that you all like this look.

Collection Overhaul.

So as I said in one of my personal points today, I reorginatized my collection. I still have the same baskets, I just organized the polished as a color wheel starting with red. I did not take pictures of these cause I am not sure whether or not I am going to keep it this way or not. If I decide to keep it this way I will then take pictures and post them.

I am working on putting all the brands and color names on my computer where instead of using the paper that I was. (see collection blog post), I am just going to add them to my computer. Save the trees.

While getting these down, I finally got to count my polishes. I have 95 polishes all together that is including my 16 sample polishes, top coats, base coats, crackle polishes, and my 8 Sally Hansen Color Quick sticks.

Orly Review.

This is my very first time using Orly's. With the red that I do not know the name of it. For this look see blog "Orly Red Gold Crackle Nail"
This is using the Orly that the name was taken off. For this look see blog "New Year Nails"
This is using Orly's Au Champagne. For the look see blog entry "First Nail Look of 2012"
I have been trying for a while to find a nail polish that would hold up and not chip the next day. Also one that would hold up while I was working. Well, I finially found it with Orly's. It held up for four days with chipping. When I repainted it, I wanted to see how it would hold up at work. I painted them on Wednesday and when I left work on Sunday they had chipped a bit, but not like my other polishes had. Also I painted them on Wednesday and normally I paint my nails for work on Thursday night or Friday morning. I really like this polish, and I will definitely be buying some more. I am glad that I got this for Christmas now.

NLOD--First Nail Look of 2012 Orly's Au Champagne.

Here is my first nail look of 2012. I first painted this on New Years Day, but the manicure was fast, and it for messed up, so I redid it last night. It has three coats of Orly Au Champagne. On the ring finger of each hand there is a coat of each the Sally's Girl Silver and Gold Glitter Polish. Then I topped it with Seche Vite Top Coat, and on the accent nail, I put two coats of the top coat.
Here are the polished I used.
