Mini Haul

So I was watching a lot of YouTube videos, and noticed most of them wear using the same top coat. They were swearing by it. I thought that I was going to have to order it online, but while in Sally's today getting my color wheels, I came across it. The top coat I am talking about is the Seche Vite Top Coat. I did put a coat on my nail tonight. It is fast drying, but I will get back with a review on it later when I have used it for a while.

Along with the Seche Vite I got two Sally Girl polishes one in silver glitter and one in gold glitter. I normally do not like glitter polishes, but here recently I have been. I guess it's the season, but I did not want to buy a big one.

Also my Sally's this past week have been offering half price of all red tag clearance. So I have gotten some Orly's, Finger Paints, and China Glazes for about 2 dollars. It's the winter collection. I promise to do a haul on them but I wanted to tell you about the sale where you could get into Sally's today and get good deals. It ends today.

Also I finish buying the Sally Hansen Color Quick Chrome Collection today. I found these at Big Lots, not the Dollar Tree. I had four already, but I finished picking up the last four: Gold, Silver, Fuchsia, and Turquoise. I ended up paying a little more at Big Lots for them. (1.50), but the Dollar Tree in my hometown did not carry them, and the Dollar Tree I found them at I got all the colors they had.

Favorite Top Coats.

These are my favorite top coats. Revlon Clear Polish and Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Flawless. As you see, theses have been used a lot. With the other top coats I have they have barely been used. When I am using my nails these are the two I always go to. As you see how much is left in the bottle.

NLOD--New Year Nails.

Here is the look I have on my nails for New Years. I used my new Orly nail polish (two coats)and then for an accent nail I did two coats of my Pure Ice Bite Me! (it's a gold). Then I used as a top coat my Pure Ice Crackle Showstopper. Then I top each nail off with my Sally Hansen Top Coat.

I don't have a picture, but I also did my toes as well. If you read my previous blog about matching they normally don't in the winter time, but since I was doing my nails, I did them in the same color. The big toe has the crack effect like the ring finger. Then the rest are in the Orly polish.
Here is the polishes I used. Sorry the picture is so blurry, but this is the best picture I could get.

Matchin Toes and Fingers

I have been asked a question about whether or not my toe nails and finger nails polish match.

The answer is no. Especially in the winter when the only people who see my feet are my family. In the summer time, I try to keep them matching, but sometime since my finger nails seem to chip more often than my toes, I will not paint my toes. I will do maybe an accent nail that matches my toes, or use a complementary color.

Right now I have my Orly Red and Crackle on my nails still (see previous blog), and I have my Sally Hansen Celeb City on my toes. And until Sunday, my accent nails or the whole nail had sometime of silver on them, but now my nails match.

Please send me questions if you have any.

Personal Points

  • It finally feels like winter out side. It's in the thirties today. Even though I was liking the warmer weather. I really missed the cold weather too. Makes it feel more like the holidays.
  • This morning I was awake by the smell of biscuits and gravy cooking. Since I work the weekends and leave before most of my family are up, I don't get to have them much since they are normally in my family made on the weekend.

Christmas Haul.

All this stuff I either got for Christmas or bought with money I got for Christmas. There are four things that I actually got as presents. The two hats (both with ears). The Red Orly Polish. And then the small bottle of Lancome Hypnose Fragrance.

Now the rest of the stuff I got with money I got for Christmas. Sally was having a sale on all of there reduce items. So I got three full size nail polishes. An Orly in Au Champagne. A Finger Paint in Winter Sky and finally a China Glaze in Glittering Garland. I got all of these polishes for two dollars a piece. The last thing I got at Sally's was the Orly's Holiday Set that has three sample size polishes. It had Ma Cherie, Oui, and Androgynie (the last two shades I am thinking about buying the full size.)
At Wal-mart I got the Nail Dryer and Buffer which also came together with 12 nail polishes. Also I got a Teen Vogue gift set that had the cover girl massacre and the cover girl lip gloss. IT also had a body spray (not pictured). It also had a full year subscription to a magazine. The last thing I got at Wal-mart was the Peace Christmas decoration.

I am in no way bragging in what I got for Christmas. All I really wanted was for my family to be together, which I got.

All of these things I was given to by family and friends.

This is all my nail polish catalog on paper where I can see where I want to organize. As you see, I organize by color. The baskets I got at Walmart. They come in a set of three and they are about 1.50 for them. They hold any where from 12 to 15 polishes(normal size) depending on the size of the bottle. These are my color wheels. The top is my polishes according to color, and the bottom is according to brand.

Most of my nail polish I have bought at Walgreens, Wal-mart, Dollar Stores, Big Lots, and Dollar Tree. Some have came from Sally's. A lot of my polishes are older and are no longer being made, but if you want to know, I can try and remember where I got them and tell you. Some of the older polishes I can't remember, but the new polishes I know where I got them from.

NLOD--Orly Red Crackle Gold Nails.

This is the nails that I currently have using a new nail polish that I received for Christmas. The red is from Orly (the name wasn't on the bottle). I am planning on doing a review on it soon, and you will find out about it more in my Christmas Haul. On the ring finger, I put Sally Hansen Antique Gold Crackle Overcoat. I did put a top coat over this look cause of the crackle polish and I used one of my two favorite top coats(I'll do a blog on them soon), my Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Top Coat.

NLOD--Christmas Nails.

For my Christmas Nails, I went with the white nail polish again. I really liked the look of the white so I decided that since we were not going to have a white Christmas I would have a white Christmas nail.
As the previous Nail look I used two coats of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Timeless White, and over that I put Sinful Colors Out of this World over it except for the ring finger on each hand which was an accent color. On those nails I put Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Celeb City.

Mini Nail Polish Haul at Dollar Tree

While at Dollar Tree the other day I went down the beauty isle to see if they had anything new, and I ended up finding Sally Hansen's Color Quick nail polishes. It's where the nail polish is in a tube with a bush at the end. I wanted to try these, but did not at the time want to pay the price tag. So perfect finding them at the Dollar Tree for a dollar. I picked up all the colors they had. They were from the Chrome collection. I picked up Green, Red, Purple, and Pink Chrome.
I will do a review on them soon.

I used two coats of Timeless White, and then one coat of Out of This World. I wish this was a better picture. These are the nail polishes that I used for this look.

Changing blog

I have noticed that I am not wearing makeup as much as I would like to. So I am changing this blog type. It's still going to be beauty related, but it's going to be about nail polishes. I have over 60 polishes (I promise that I will do a blog of my collection soon). So this is going to be hauls on polishes, reviews on nail polishes, and types to keep it on longer.

Peaceful and Happy Thoughts,
