Rue Reviews: Sally Hansen Salon Effects Strips Final Verdict

This review has happened over a couple of posts now so incase this is your first time reading Rue's World here are the links to the my first impressions, Days 1-3, and Days 4-6.
First Impressions: http://ruesworld52.blogspot.com/2014/03/sally-hansen-salon-effects-strips-first.html
Days 1-3: http://ruesworld52.blogspot.com/2014/05/rue-reviews-sally-hansen-salon-effect.html
Days 4-6: http://ruesworld52.blogspot.com/2014/05/rue-reviews-sally-hansen-salon-effect_15.html

Where we left off from last post, the manicure lasted through my work shifts which was impressive, but after that it went down hill.

The first set of picture is one week after putting the salon strips on, but I don't know if you will be able to tell from the pictures. This is the last set of pictures taken until February 11th, which was 12 days after I put these on and the day I took them off.

One Week: Thursday February 6, 2014

You cannot tell but the thumbs have chips on them, and if you look on the left pinky you can see how much of the nail is showing at the cuticle. They are starting to show wear at the tips of s the nails. To me they are still wearable, but it does start to get worse as the days go on, and you will see below how they looked after 12 days, which is two days longer than the package claimed, of wear they would look like.

February 11, 2014: Removal Day

As you can see the left hand is not as bad as the right hand pictures below. The ring finger is almost half gone, and the thumb which you cannot see that side, is gone. Some of the nails look just fine.

The right hand on the other hand, is in pretty bad shape. The thumb is completely gone, and the ring finger is also showing a lot of cuticle.

Removal: Use regular nail polish remover. They remove like any nail polish. I did not find a difference of removing these than my regular polishes.

Rue's Final Verdict: These are long lasting, and I wonder if by putting the top coat (see Day 5 Note in previous post) I cause the peeling of the thumbs. I do have another set that I will try and I will not put a top coat on it. As I said in my first impressions, these are kind of pricy for one manicure, but they are cheaper than going to get your nails done. If they were cheaper I would buy these all the time. If I can find them on sale, I will buy these. I do like them. Once you get the hang of putting them on, they are fairly easy to put on. Like everything practice makes perfect.

Sorry it took so long for me to post this review, but finally it's here. Let me know if you had used these, and if you have any tips to make it easier to apply, leave it in the comments section.

Peaceful and Happy thoughts,
--Rue.
