200th Post--- My Go To Spring Polishes (Spring 2014)

I may go months with out posting a blog or anything, but I can't believe this will be my 200th post. I stated this blog back in October of 2011, and I cannot believe that I still post on here. I have never really in life kept up with anything contantly. I may start something, but never finish it. I may years later revisit it. This has been something I have been doing for a few years now.

In honor of my 200th post will be my Go To Spring Nail Polishes. Also this is my Easter manicure. I was going to make them look like eggs, but I did not have the time, and I really like it this way.

This Spring Pastels are really it. I typically do not follow any trends, but I love pastels in the spring. I always have.

Here are five of my go to polish shades. You don't necessarily have to have these specific colors. You can find variations for these in all brands.

  1. Sally Hansen Xtreme in Breezy Blue on Thumb: This is the only polish that is not a cream polish. It is a frost. This is also my first time using this polish, but I love the light powder blue, and I did not own one. I really wanted a pastel blue, but I did not realize until I had painted it was  a frost.
  2. Wet n Wild Wild Shine in Tickled Pink on Pointer: This one is a dupe for OPI's Pink Friday from the Nicki Minja Collection. It's your typically pastel pink. Some say even a baby doll pink.
  3. Sally Hansen Xtreme in Mint Sorbet on Middle Finger: This is my go to polish in both Spring and Summer. This is my favorite Mint polish I own. It goes toward the green side than blue like other Mint polishes I own. This is probably one of  my favorite polishes in my whole collection.
  4. Sally Hansen Xtreme in Lacey Lilac on Ring Finger: I bought this last year when I bought Pacific Blue from the same line, and did not wear it until a couple weeks ago, but I fell in love with this color.
  5. Revlon Color Stay in Buttercup on Pinky: I raved about this last year, and I still love it. I find that yellow polishes typically do not look good with my skin tone, but this one goes perfectly.
All this polishes can be found at your drugstore, and are decently priced. Buttercup is the most expensive at around 8 bucks if you do not find it on sale. The Sally Hansen Xtreme ranges from 2.50 to 3 bucks. Walgreens has this on sale a lot 2 for $5. I believe they may be on sale this week, but I do not know when the sale ends. Wet n Wild Wild Shine you can find for 99 cents, but sometimes the Walgreens and Rite Aid has is for less than 75 cents.

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Easter.

Peaceful and Happy thoughts,
-Rue .
